LOCATION: Basalt, CO
CLIENT: Town of Basalt
SCOPE: Signage design, construction administration
ALA worked with the Town of Basalt and the Town of Basalt Sign Committee to design directional signs and wayfinding elements that will guide visitors into the heart of historic downtown after having passed the Town of Basalt roundabout monument, traveling west on Emma Road. ALA met with the Town and Sign Committee at important design milestones to garner feedback and generate consensus. The sign materiality and detailing, such as a laser cut steel ‘two rivers’ pattern representing the confluence of the Roaring Fork and Pan and Fork Rivers, marry the signs and wayfinding elements to the existing historic downtown entry monument and to the underlying spirit and character of the Town itself.
